There are different ways and facilities to reach Kaziranga World heritage site, it is  around 217 kilometres from Guwahati (Capital of Assam), you could drive taking the NH27/AH1 Indian National Highway to reach the destination. There are other public transport facilities available from Guwahati Interstate Bus Station and also there are tempo travellers , taxis etc available from Jorabad which is outskirts of Guwahati.

      To visit the park there are Jeep Safari which starts from 6 am to 3 pm and the Elephant Safari Tour is from  6 to 7:30 am, it is wise to reach a day before your trip to find lodging there , so that you can start the tour fresh. You can easily find good accommodation , even camp site near the park but once you reach there make sure to enquire the hotels and resorts by yourself to get the best deals for lodgings , avoid agencies and online bookings.The cost of lodgings starts from Rs 500 to depending on touring season and quality of accommodation. The cost of Elephant Safari per person is Rs 930 and for hiring the Jeep is Rs 2500. 

       Final verdict : Is it worth visiting ? 

    Well to have a look at the last remaining "one horn rhino" population on Earth .... then ... YESS it is worth it and the cost of travel does not hit your pocket hard.
